Looking after your health as a man

Some of the biggest wins for men's health come from everyday habits: staying physically active, eating a balanced diet, keeping to a healthy weight, limiting alcohol and not smoking. Small, consistent changes add up over the years.
Men are, on average, less likely to visit a doctor, which can mean problems are picked up later. Booking regular check-ups — and knowing your key numbers such as blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar — helps you catch things early. Your doctor can tell you which checks suit your age and history.
Aim for muscle-strengthening activity a couple of times a week alongside regular movement; it supports your heart, bones, weight and mood as you age. Sleep and managing stress matter just as much as what is on your plate.
This is general wellbeing information, not medical advice. For anything that worries you — or before making big changes if you have a health condition — speak with your doctor.
