Feeling your best across your cycle

4 min read

It's common for energy, mood, appetite and sleep to shift across the menstrual cycle. Noticing your own patterns — which you can track here — makes them easier to plan around and less surprising.

Around your period, some people feel more tired or crave certain foods. Iron-rich foods (such as beans, lentils, leafy greens, and meat or fish if you eat them), paired with vitamin C to help absorption, support you if periods are heavy. Steady meals, hydration and gentle movement can ease that low-energy stretch.

For cramps and premenstrual tension, warmth, light activity, good sleep and stress-easing habits help many people. Be kind to yourself on the days you feel off — lowering the bar is sensible, not lazy.
